Adding a new ad size


1.Select Advanced from the Ad Manager menu





2. Select Add Size 




3.Enter the details as required:

  • The Name should describe the type of size (eg "small square")

  • The Ad Width and Ad Height are to be entered in pixels. When a user selects a size for their ad, the pixel dimensions will be displayed. There is an additional option for 'Percentage of pane' - this option only applies to Flash banners being added to the site


4.Click Next to continue.


5.Review the details and click Finish 


6. A list of all the available ad sizes stored will be displayed

Adding a new ad location

  1. Select Advanced from the Ad Manager menu




  2. Select Add Location 



  3. Edit the details as required:
    • The Name should describe the location on the site (eg "right pane", "main content", "left pane")

    • Select Default if you want this to be the default location for ads
  4. Click Next to continue

  5. Review the details and click Finish 


  6. A list of all the available ad locations stored will be displayed.

    Adding a new ad category

    1. Select Advanced from the Ad Manager menu



    2. Select Add Category 


    3. Edit the details as required:
      • The Name is the title of the category

      • Enter a Description, this can be further information about the category and some instruction as to the type of ads which should be allocated to it

      • Select Active for ads in this category to be view-able by users of the intranet.


    4. Click Next to continue

    5. Review the details and click Finish.


    6. A list of all the available ad categories stored will be displayed

Adding a new ad

  1. An ad category needs to be active before a new ad can be added.

  2. Select Add a New Ad from the Ad Manager menu.

  3. Select the Category in which the ad should be placed, click Next to continue
     

  4. Next, complete all information relating to the image you would like to display
     

    To locate the required File, click on Choose File tab. Once you have selected your file, click Upload File to add it. To remove the file, click Delete File.

    Select a Size for the ad and amend the ad layout options as required:

    - Align controls the horizontal alignment of your ad (e.g. left, right or centre)

    - Vertical Align controls the vertical alignment of your ad (e.g. bottom, middle, top)

    - Padding controls the space around your ad (e.g. top, bottom, right, left)

    Click Next to continue


  5. Enter the Details of the new Ad
     
    Enter a Title, Description and details of the Author for the new ad.

    If applicable, select a Publish and/or Expiry Date for the new ad.

    Publish Date: this is a date in the future when you want the ad to be available to users on the intranet. Note: If an ad has a future publish date set, it's priority and % of the time will not change. 

    Expiry Date: this is the date on which the ad will expire and be removed from the intranet. You can choose to be notified prior to the ad expiring; either 1 day before or 1 week before. Note: An ad will only have a single expiry date and a future publish date for all locations.

    When an ad has a future publish date set or an expiry date set, it will not be visible on the Front End in any location.

    Click Next to continue


  6. Enter the Website URL or Link to what/where you would like to the ad to direct users, then select the Open In method (e.g. New Window, Current Window, Popup) and click Next to continue
     

  7. Review the details. The ad can be Shared across other sites within the intranet. Tick the checkbox if you would like to share your ad and then click Finish.
     

  8. A full list of ads will be displayed by Category
     


  9. The new ad will not be visible on the intranet until it is placed in a location. To modify the ad, you need to select the appropriate ad category and select the Edit link for the applicable ad.
