This section outlines components that have not been re-created, or have been significantly revised, in GreenOrbit.  Please see the descriptions below that explain how these components will be impacted by the upgrade.


Breadcrumb Bar: This component has been migrated. However the following options were removed from the Breadcrumb Bar:

  • Calendar display options - Showed calendar and link to calendar.
  • Display "Add to Favorites" - Displayed option to add page to favorites.
  • Display User Profile - Displayed user name within Breadcrumb bar. This has instead been moved to Top Toolbar.
  • Display Search - Displayed the search option.
  • Publish and Library Links - Moved from Breadcrumb bar and are located within the Top Toolbar.
  • Manage iD CMS Content - Icon removed from left hand side of Breadcrumb Bar. Replaced with 'house' icon that links to '/home'.

Company Calendar: The 'Basic Week' Display Format has not been migrated. All components set to this format will be set to 'Month' format. 


Clever Tools:  This component has not be migrated and will be removed from pages/layouts during the upgrade. The suggested replacement is to use a Quicklinks Group for your application links.


FAQ:  This component has not be migrated and will be removed from pages/layouts during the upgrade. The suggested replacement is a CMS Page with a List of Questions and Answers. Collapsible headings, a feature within a Formatted Text component, can be used to provide a collapsed list of questions on a page that users can click on to reveal the answer. 


File Upload: This component has not been migrated. Existing File Download components will be converted to Formatted text components during upgrade.


Footer (Site Footer):  The Footer component has been removed and no longer needs to be added to a layout. The Footer is now a permanent fixture throughout the site including the following information; Created by, Last Updated By and Owners. The following actions previously found within the Footer component have been removed; Manage iD CMS Content, Print this document, Add to Favorites.

 

Forms Manager:  This component has not be migrated and will be removed from pages/layouts during the upgrade. 


Formatted Text: This component has been migrated and GreenOrbit has an all new text editor. Existing Formatted text content will be retained however some formatting and styling options have been changed or removed.

  • Quote: Quotation marks have been removed from this style
  • Page Heading: Both Page Heading styles (PageHeading1 and PageHeading2) have been removed


Forum:  This component has not be migrated and will be removed from pages/layouts during the upgrade. The suggested replacement is to create a Channel or Private Group per topic.


Image:  This component has been migrated. However all image component properties have been removed except padding and image link. Image Adjustment won't have any of the following options:

  • GreyScale
  • Brightness
  • Contrast
  • Color Levels
  • Blur  
  • Sharpen

Images will always be left aligned in image component in GreenOrbit irrespective of their alignment in Intranet DASHBOARD. 

 

Links:  The Links application was removed.  It was replaced by Quick Links with the option to open the link in  a new window or another tab on the browser instead of a pop up 


Most Popular Links:  This component has not be migrated and will be removed from pages/layouts during the upgrade.  In GreenOrbit it is suggested that the most popular content can instead be reported on within the new Intranet Analytics package. 


News Carousel:   The News Carousel component has been replaced by a generic News component that includes standard/headline/carousal display types.  Existing News Carousel components will be converted to this new News component during upgrade. The following options have been removed:

  • Random Start
  • Auto Transition Time
 

News Headlines:   The News Headlines component has been replaced by a generic News component that includes standard/headline/carousal display types.  Existing News Heading components will be converted to this new News component during upgrade.


Online Forms:  This component has not be migrated and will be removed from pages/layouts during the upgrade. The application remained within the Admin.


Page List:  This component has been migrated. However no longer present is the the ability to select the subsite as a default option. If this option is selected GreenOrbit will show “This Component is empty” message in page edit mode. Previously selected layout type of page list component will be removed and in GreenOrbit the default “Table” layout will be shown.

 

Site List:  This component has not be migrated and will be removed from pages/layouts during the upgrade. 


Sports Tipping:  This component has not be migrated and will be removed from pages/layouts during the upgrade. 


Staff Offers:  This component has not be migrated and will be removed from pages/layouts during the upgrade.

 

World Time:  This component has not be migrated and will be removed from pages/layouts during the upgrade.

 

Must Read List:  This component has not be migrated and will be removed from pages/layouts during the upgrade. The Required Read/View application as the replacement for Must Read includes notifications under the 'bell' icon instead.


Meet The Team:  This component has not be migrated and will be removed from pages/layouts during the upgrade.


Quote:  This component has not be migrated and  existing Quote components will be converted to Formatted text components.


Un-formatted Text:  This component has not be migrated and  existing Un-Formatted Text component will be converted to new Formatted text component


User Profile:  This component has not be migrated and will be removed from pages/layouts during the upgrade.  This has been replaced by the MyHub application that allows users to access their user profile via the Top Toolbar.


Video Control:  This component has not be migrated and existing Video components will be converted to Formatted text components during upgrade.  The Formatted Text component can be used to upload Videos.
