The config settings located in the Admin area of GreenOrbit. This is where the administrator of your site has the ability to modify the configuration and behavior of certain elements of your intranet.
Below we have collated some of the most commonly used settings, that can be used to personalize and configure the way elements are displayed within GreenOrbit.
Accessing Config Settings
- To make changes to the Config Settings, first location the "Config Settings" option, under 'Utilities' in the GreenOrbit Admin area, under the left hand "Application Explorer" menu. The Config Settings screen will be displayed:
- Then, to locate a specific Config Setting, use the "Filter" box to start typing the name of the setting. For example to find "System Name" you can start typing this into the Filter box until the "System Name" setting is displayed:
- Click "Edit" next to the Config Setting that you wish to change. Enter the new value and then click "Update".
Config Settings
The list below outlines available Config Settings that can be changed to alter the behavior of elements with the GreenOrbit software. Any Config Settings other than those listed below should not be changed without first confirming with the GreenOrbit Support Team by emailing support@greenorbit.com
Admin User Accounts

Front End Customization

Display Footer | By default the GreenOrbit footer will be shown at the bottom of every page in the intranet. If set to "False", this footer will be hidden. | "True" or "False" |
Display User Summary Popup | When a website user's name is shown within the front end interface, clicking on the name will display a popup with a summary of their details. The summary will include a link to the user’s profile, their key contact details and the ability to follow or unfollow. Setting this to "False" will disable this setting meaning that no summary popup is shown and clicking on the name will initiate an email to that user. | "True" or "False" |
Link security Login Required | Setting this to "True" will enable this setting, resulting in hyperlinks to content that the current user does not have access to will be hidden from them. Front End Security

Content Security Policy | Content Security Policy (CSP) allows you to reduce the risk of XSS attacks by allowing you here to define where resources can be loaded from, preventing browsers from loading data from any other locations. Frontend Security Single Sign-in | If set to "True" a user account can only be logged in once at any given time. If set to "False" users will be allowed to login using the same account multiple times simultaneously. | "True" or "False" |
Front End security Type | Determines the type of authentication being used. The "Login" option is the default option which will use the built in authentication of GreenOrbit. At the time of installation the correct method would have been set based on your authentication requirements at the time.
