The config settings located in the admin of your intranet site.  This is where the administrator of you site has the ability to change modify the configuration and behavior of your intranet.  Below are just some of the more popular actions that we have found our clients utilize the most when working with their site on the backend. identified  



Admin User Accounts

  • Strong Passwords Enable - To increase the security protection of Admin user accounts you can force all Admin User Accounts to require a strong password.
    • Accepted Values: "False" to "True". 


Company Details

  • System Name - The name given to your Intranet that is displayed in the browser tab as well as some internal messaging. At the time of installation the System Name is taken from the Installation form you completed.
    • Accepted Values: Free text entry

  • Admin System Name - This is the name given to the Admin area of your Intranet. By default this is the System Name, see above, with "Administration" appended.
    • Accepted Values: Free text entry

  • Webmaster Email - This the email address that is used as the Sender for all internally generated notification emails sent by GreenOrbit.
    • Accepted Values: Free text entry Valid email address

 

Data Grid

  • Data Grid Items Shown Per Page - The default number of items shown in a data grid before it's separated into pages that a user can navigate through. Users will be able to change the number of items shown on a page each time they view a data grid. 
    • Accepted Values: 10 up to 100

  • Data Grid Filtering - Datagrid Filtering
    • Accepted Values: "Enable" or "Disabled" - By clicking "Edit" the admin can decide to activate this option by selecting either "True or False".

 

Email (On premise only)

  • Mail Server
    • Accepted Values: Free text entry
  • Mail Server port
    • Port used to connect to the mail server - By clicking "Edit", the options open for the admin to select what ports they would like to use from the dropdown.

  • Mail Server Type
    • Click "Edit" to select which type of Mail Server you would like to use from the dropdown.
      1. SMTP
      2. TLS (SSL)
  • SMTP Password
    • Accepted Values: Free text entry
  • SMTP Username

Front End Customization

  • Display Footer - If set to 'True', then the GreenOrbit footer will be shown at the bottom of every page in the intranet. If set to 'False', this footer will be hidden.  By clicking "Edit" the admin can decide to activate this option by selecting either "True or False".

  • Display User Summary Popup - When a website user's name is shown within the front end interface, clicking on the name will display a popup with a summary of their details. The summary will include a link to the user’s profile, their key contact details and the ability to follow or unfollow. Disabling this setting will mean that no summary popup is shown and clicking on the name will initiate an email to that user.  By clicking "Edit" the admin can decide to activate this option by selecting either "True or False".

    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can decide to activate this option by selecting either "True or False".

  • Max width and height of thumbnail
    • Accepted Values: Free text entry

 

Front End Security

  • Content Security Policy - CSP allows you to reduce the risk of XSS attacks by allowing you to define where resources can be loaded from, preventing browsers from loading data from any other locations. This makes it harder for an attacker to inject malicious code to your site.  By clicking "Edit" the admin can utilize the free text area. 
     
  • Display fronted forgot password link - Determines if the Forgot Your Password link is shown to frontend users on the Login page. 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can decide to activate this option by selecting either "True or False".
       
  • Forms login default domain - This domain is used if the user login fails on the forms based security 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can utilize the free text area.
       
  • Frontend Security Single Sign-in - By clicking "Edit" the admin can decide to activate this option by selecting either "True or False". 

  • Front End security Type - By clicking "Edit" the admin can select from the dropdown "Login, Active Directory, Login Using SAML".
     
  • iFrame sandbox value - Sets value for iFrame sandbox parameter in html and webpage frame component to set which type of script is allowed to execute
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can utilize the free text area to type in the script to be allowed. 

 

Front End User Accounts

  • Enable FE TC - By clicking "Edit" the admin can decide to activate this option by selecting either "True or False".

  • FE Strong Password Enable - Forces the Frontend User password to be a complex password 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can decide to activate this option by selecting either "True or False".

  • FE Strong Password PW Never Expires - Decides whether the Front End password should Expire or not 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can decide to activate this option by selecting either "True or False".

  • FE Strong Password Expiry Days - Number of days after which the Frontend Password expires 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can utilize the free text area to type in the number of days.

  • FE Strong Password Expiry Prompt Days - By clicking "Edit" the admin can utilize the free text area to type in the number of days.

  • Username generation method - Setting to provide options for username generation. 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can select from the dropdown "Name or Email Address".

 

Generic Components

  • Notification Email - Include My Hub Section - Setting this to true will include a section at the top of any notification emails sent, that highlights new activity within My Hub. Setting this to false, will hide this section in notification emails. 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can decide to activate this option by selecting either "True or False".

  • Notification Email Format - Type of Notification Email or RSS 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can decide to activate this option by selecting either "HTML or Plain".

  • Notification Email Summary History - The number of minutes the rss feed will reference any notifications. 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can utilize the free text.

 

Licensing

  • License User Limit Warning Threshold - Determins at what fill capacity will a session pool warning be triggered. 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can utilize the free text.
  • License User Limit Warning Email Enabled - Determins at if an email warning will be sent is the License User limit warning threshold is reached. 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can decide to activate this option by selecting either "True or False".

Location

  • Default Country Code - By clicking "Edit" the admin can utilize the free text.
  • Default Language Code - By clicking "Edit" the admin can utilize the free text.
  • Time Zone Default - The value selected is the default time zone for the intranet. Any subsites set to use the 'Time Zone Default' option will inherit this default. 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can select from the dropdown "Time Zones".

 

Owners

  • Maximum Owner Limit - Maximum number of owners that can be set on content. If this value is not specified, or less than 1, then no limit is applied. 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can utilize the free text.

 

Single Sign On

  • Admin SSO Enable - By clicking "Edit" the admin can decide to activate this option by selecting either "True or False".
  • SSO key for Single Sign On - This Key is used for Single Sign on Encryption/Decryption (Please change this only in web.config file).
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can utilize the free text.
       
  • SSO vector for Single Sign On - This Vector is used for Single Sign on Encryption/Decryption(Please change this only in web.config file).
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can utilize the free text. 

 

Subsite

  • Default Theme Path - The default theme for all subsites. If no theme is selected, sites will default to this theme. Click Edit to update the default theme. 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can utilize the free text. 
  • Logo Links Home - By clicking "Edit" the admin can decide to activate this option by selecting either "True or False".

  • Use different style for each site - If this is set to false, same style is used accross all the subsites 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can decide to activate this option by selecting either "True or False".

 

Version Control

  • Enable versions of files to be deleted - Enables versions of files to be deleted based on the following config settings; MINIMUM_VERSIONS_TO_KEEP, AGE_OF_VERSION_BEFORE_IT_IS_DELETED, NUMBER_OF_ORIGINAL_VERSIONS 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can decide to activate this option by selecting either "True or False".
  • Age of a version before it is deleted - The age of a version in days before it is deleted 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can utilize the free text. 
  • Days deleted before permanent delete occurs - Days deleted before permanent delete occurs 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can utilize the free text. 
  • Minimum number of version to keep - The minimum number of versions of a file that are to be kept in the system 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can utilize the free text.  
  • Number of original versions to be kept in the system - Number of original versions to be kept in the system 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can utilize the free text.  

 

Workflow

  • Approvers Includes Website Usergroup Members - When enabled, the {Approvers} option in Workflow emails includes website usergroup members. If false, only individual users will be included. 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can decide to activate this option by selecting either "True or False".
  • Auto save time seconds - By clicking "Edit" the admin can utilize the free text. 
     
  • Autosave max days - Number of days autosaved workflow is stored for 
    • By clicking "Edit" the admin can utilize the free text.
